Find My DNS Records

Overview

The best way to retrieve your DNS records is to contact your existing DNS Provider and have them export all of your current records and send them to you. There are online tools to find DNS records but they will not find certain kinds of DNS records, so direct retrieval from the provider is always preferable.

Can an example of exactly what DNS records need to be provided be added to this article? (ex. A records, MX records, CNAME records...) and/or definitions of these terms?

The I'd Like to Request an Enhancement button redirects to the main CivicEngage Help Center page.

Hi Vanessa, the answer is all of them. When transferring DNS management to us the client must provide all records that exist. The client can request an export of all records from their DNS provider, preferably in the BIND format.
